Krankenhaus-Reports

Ich muss jedes mal, wenn ich im Krankenhaus bin einen Report von meinen Eindruecken schreiben und ich hab mir ueberlegt, dass ich diese Reports einfach auch hier veroeffentlich, dass ihr euch meine Arbeit in den Krankenhaeusern besser vorstellen koennt. (Achtet nciht so sehr auf die Spache, sondern eher auf den Inhalt...*fg*)

Lacul Bucura
Thursday, 2. October
Today we were in the hospital, lacul bucura. It was my first time in a hospital for children, but it wasn’t like i expected. In my opinion the children don’t look really ill and it wasn’t like a hospital atmosphere . The kids, some also with their mother, were outside, when we were coming.
We do facepainting with them and the others also make different figures with ballons for them. Some children were really open-hearted, they come to us, and played with us. It was nice to see, that you can make children happy with only a few things. And after time all the kids come to play. The children with the facepainting were really proud and all the kids were fascinaited, because of the ballons. They were smiling a lot and wanted to take picture of them.
The time past so fast in the hospital while playing with the kids.
However it was also a little bit unfamilier and i had need a little time to know what to do with the kids, but they are happy, when you spend time with them. I expected the next time with this kids.

6.november
When we arrived there were only a few children outside. We startet to play with them and afte a time a lot of children were around us.
The little childs were really fascintined when we blowed bubbles, it was a pity that the bubblemaker did not work very well and i had to finish it.
We made ballons, they were really hapy about them, Javier painted a few pictures and the girle were also crazy after the roses we made for them.
They wre a lot of children and parents and it was hard for 3 people to manage everything. I think i do not have all the names, and all wanted what the other chidreln have...and then we cant really play with them. This day we made them only a pleasure with things. They were also happy about the lollipop they get.

They were also a older woman, and she began to sing an old traditional song! And Javi made her also a rose! She was also very happy about it.

all in all it was a good day, although it was very stressful


Alexandrescu Hospital

Wednesday, 8. October
When we arrived at the hospital we had to wait. In this time, father Tutor talked with us. He told us things about Romania and a little bit the history of the hospital. It was really interesting.
Then he wanted us to entertain him, as a child. It was a little bit strange, but i think he wanted to help us to be prefert, but i think it isn't the same situation.

At the beginning it was really hard to make them happy. They only take their ballons, they get, but after a while they were also laughing and talking with us.
The worst think for me was a little girl, who didn't want to laugh. I tried a lot, but she was really sad. But when i started to make swap-bubbles, a child, that was only sitting in his chair, came to me and also did this on his own. At first i didn't know if it get along with this, but after a while she also makes a lot and she was really happy and she was laughing. it was really nice to see her like this.

We hadn't have a lot of things to do with them, only for them, maybe we can play someday with normal ballons with them. It would bei really nice, because then they could also can play and do something with their own hands.


5. november
We arrived at the hospital very punctual at 14.30. For luck there was father Tudor who invited us to play with the children downstairs, under the church.
There were a few chidlren making pictures for christmas, and we showes them how to make a star out of origami, i think they were rally happy to learn something new.
After Andrea came, we went in the hospital, and we devided us into two groups.

Andrea, Susi, i and another volunteer from the church were one group. I went with Susi in the rooms. I made Origami for two boys and they were really happy, and the mother of one boy told me, that he collect every origami he get, he is very often there and has a few!!

Susi made swords for them, and the boys were really happy about them and played with them on the corridor and attacked together susi!


Budimex Hospital

Tuesday, 7. october
When we arrived at the hospital some kids were playing with plasticine and we could see happy kids already.
In the first minutes the children were a little bit shy, but this impression flow away fast. The kids were really activ, there were playing with the ballons with us and were really happy during playing. Also the mothers were happy to see her kids laughing.
One boy wanted facepainting and he enjoyed it a lot, so he also wanted to make a foto with me.
One girl was lying in the bed, i don't know if she can move, but she didn't. And also this girl plays from her bed with the ballons and finally she made a dog with me and she was very focus on it and after she had done the dog, she was very happy.
This kids also come to us to play with us and it was really funny also for me.


Tuesday, 21. october
This day, when we arrived at the hospital, all was more familiar. But when we arrived at the etage and asked if somebody is there who plays with the kids, the nurses don't know it first. But then we were happy, when one nurse showed us Magdalena (i dont know her name exactly)
A lot of children were sleeping and we were to much for the few kids. Because of that, we devided our group. Susanne, Marion and I went downstairs to two little chidren. They were really cute, but the boy has to leave the room the whole time and we three were playing with the little girl.
Also there we were to much, but the little girl was happy to play with us. First she was a little bit afraid (of course she don't know us) but then she was sad, when we leave.
I was a little bit difficult, because we haven't have a lot of things to play with her. She was to little for Origami, and we haven't had any ballons. But then Magdalena brought us some, and we could play with them with her.
Also the mother was happy, that somebody was there and that she could talk with somebody.
